Bacon Wrapped Pickle Shots

BACON WRAPPED PICKLE SHOTS

Enjoy the taste of a cheeseburger WITHOUT any burger or cheese....

These pickle shots make great party appetizers that are sure to please a crowd

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb thick cut bacon, cut into thirds

  • 1 pkg of your favorite sausage or hot link, sliced

  • 1 jar of bread and butter or dill pickle slices (your preference)

  • Pit Barrel® All Purpose Rub

  • toothpicks

DIRECTIONS

  1. Slice bacon strips into thirds.

  2. Lay bacon down, add a pickle, add a sausage slice, add another pickle.

  3. Sprinkle Pit Barrel® Cooker All Purpose Rub over pickle shots

  4. Set your Pit Barrel® Cooker up for grilling. Light your Pit Barrel® .

  5. Place your pickle shots on the outer sides of the grate for 30 minutes.

  6. After 30 minutes, move pickle shots to center of grate and crack lid; check every 10 to 15 minutes until bacon is crispy and done.

  7. Grill veggies in a pan or on griddle (for extra flavor grill over the Pit Barrel® in a cast iron pan)

  8. Once cooked, remove pickle shots from the grate and place on serving platter.

  9. Drizzle your favorite BBQ sauce over pickle shots if you like, serve and enjoy!
